About the Role

Our client is seeking an organized and proactive Construction Planner to develop and maintain project schedules for a variety of construction projects in and around Plymouth . This role is integral to ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget, requiring close collaboration with project managers, site teams, and stakeholders. You will be responsible for creating detailed construction plans, monitoring progress, and identifying potential delays, implementing solutions to keep projects on track. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled planner to contribute to significant projects in the Devon region, working in a hybrid capacity.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain detailed construction schedules using planning software.
• Analyze project requirements and resources to create realistic and achievable timelines.
• Monitor project progress against the plan, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions.
• Collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure alignment on schedules.
• Prepare regular progress reports, including schedule updates and forecasts.
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to prevent schedule slippage.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Construction Planner or in a similar planning role.
• Proficiency with planning software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or Asta Powerproject.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, sequences, and methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic project environment.
