About the Role
Our client is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Construction Planner to join their team in Liverpool . This role is essential for the successful execution of complex building projects, requiring the development and management of detailed construction schedules. You will work closely with project managers, site teams, and subcontractors to ensure that all phases of construction are logically sequenced, resourced effectively, and delivered on time, contributing to the efficient delivery of diverse construction projects across the region and upholding the company's reputation for timely project completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and update comprehensive construction programmes and schedules using planning software.
- Analyse project requirements and coordinate with project teams to identify critical path activities and potential delays.
- Resource planning, including labour, plant, and materials, to support the project timeline.
- Monitor progress against the baseline schedule, identifying deviations and proposing corrective actions.
- Prepare and present regular progress reports and look-ahead programmes to project stakeholders.
- Collaborate with site teams to ensure timely execution of works and effective sequencing of trades.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Construction Planner or in a similar planning role within the UK construction industry.
- Proficiency in planning software such as Primavera P6, Asta PowerProject, or Microsoft Project.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and site operations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with project teams and management.
