Construction Planner

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and proactive Construction Planner to join their project delivery team, based in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, UK . This hybrid role is critical for the successful scheduling and coordination of all construction activities. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and updating project schedules, identifying potential risks and opportunities, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction methodologies and proficiency in planning software, blending strategic office-based work with necessary site visits.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed construction program schedules using planning software.
• Analyze project requirements and identify critical path activities.
• Collaborate with project managers, site teams, and subcontractors to gather information for schedules.
• Monitor project progress against the plan, identifying deviations and proposing corrective actions.
• Prepare regular progress reports and forecasts for stakeholders.
• Conduct site visits to assess progress and validate schedule updates.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Construction Planner or Scheduler.
• Proficiency in project scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and site operations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
