Construction Planner

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly organized and analytical Construction Planner to join their team in Reading . This role is crucial for developing, managing, and maintaining detailed construction project schedules. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure all projects are planned effectively, meeting timelines and resource requirements. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed master schedules for construction projects from inception to completion.
• Collaborate with project teams to define project scope, tasks, durations, and dependencies.
• Monitor project progress against the baseline schedule, identifying potential delays and deviations.
• Prepare regular progress reports, including schedule updates, look-aheads, and critical path analysis.
• Identify and forecast resource needs, ensuring timely allocation of labour, equipment, and materials.
• Assist in the development of recovery plans to address schedule slippage.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Construction Planner or Scheduler.
• Proficiency in scheduling software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or Asta Powerproject.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and methodologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate complex scheduling information clearly to various stakeholders.
