About the Role
Our client is looking for a meticulous and forward-thinking Construction Planner to support major projects in the historic city of Oxford . This hybrid role is crucial for developing, implementing, and monitoring project schedules to ensure timely and efficient completion of construction works. You will work closely with project managers, site teams, and subcontractors to create realistic and achievable plans, identify potential delays, and develop mitigation strategies. The successful candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, a strong understanding of construction sequencing, and proficiency in planning software, contributing to the successful delivery of projects across Oxfordshire .
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed project construction schedules using planning software.
- Collaborate with project teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Identify critical path activities, potential risks, and resource constraints.
- Monitor project progress against the plan and implement necessary adjustments.
- Prepare regular progress reports and forecast completion dates.
- Assist in the coordination of site activities to ensure smooth workflow and minimal disruption.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Construction Planner or Project Planner in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in planning software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or ASTA Powerproject.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Good communication and collaboration skills, suitable for a hybrid working environment in Oxford .
