Construction Planner

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Construction Planner to join their dynamic team in Portsmouth . This role is critical for developing, maintaining, and reporting on project schedules, ensuring that all construction activities are coordinated efficiently and delivered to meet project milestones. You will work closely with project managers, site teams, and stakeholders to create robust construction programmes and identify potential risks or delays, offering solutions to keep projects on track. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to significant building and infrastructure projects within the Hampshire region.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and update detailed project programmes using planning software.
• Collaborate with project teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• Identify critical path activities and potential project risks, proposing mitigation strategies.
• Monitor progress against the programme, providing regular updates and reports to stakeholders.
• Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of resources.
• Assist in the preparation of tender submissions and programme-related documentation.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Construction Planner or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in construction planning software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or Asta Powerproject.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and methodologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
