About the Role
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Construction Planner to join their established team in Norwich . This role is integral to the successful execution of construction projects, involving the development and maintenance of comprehensive project schedules. You will work closely with project managers and site teams to create realistic timelines, identify critical path activities, and ensure resources are effectively allocated. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of construction methodologies and sequencing. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
- Analyze project scope, designs, and specifications to create realistic and achievable timelines.
- Identify critical path activities and potential project risks or delays.
- Coordinate with site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather progress updates.
- Prepare regular progress reports and present them to project management and stakeholders.
- Assist in resource planning and forecasting for construction projects.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Construction Planner or in a similar planning role.
- Proficiency in project planning software, such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
- Strong understanding of construction methods , sequencing, and project lifecycles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with project teams.
- Relevant construction or planning qualification is desirable.
