About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Construction Planner to join their team and contribute to the successful delivery of projects in the Wolverhampton region. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining comprehensive project schedules, ensuring that all construction activities are logically sequenced and resourced effectively. This role requires a strategic mindset, strong analytical abilities, and proficiency with planning software. The ideal candidate will work closely with project managers, site teams, and subcontractors to optimize project timelines and identify potential delays proactively, contributing significantly to project efficiency and success.

Key Responsibilities

Develop detailed, integrated master schedules for construction projects from inception to completion.
Create and manage work breakdown structures (WBS) and resource allocation plans.
Monitor project progress against the schedule, identifying variances and developing mitigation strategies.
Collaborate with project teams to define project scope, deliverables, and timelines.
Prepare and present regular progress reports, including critical path analysis and look-ahead schedules.
Identify potential construction risks and propose solutions to maintain project schedules.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Construction Planner or Scheduler.
Proficiency in using project planning software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or Asta PowerProject.
Strong understanding of construction methodologies and sequencing.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
