Construction Planner

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Construction Planner to join their team in Liverpool . You will be responsible for developing, managing, and monitoring construction project schedules, ensuring timely completion and efficient resource allocation. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of construction processes and project management methodologies. You will work closely with project managers, site teams, and stakeholders to create realistic and achievable plans, identifying critical paths and potential risks. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to diverse and challenging construction projects across the North West.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project schedules from inception to completion, incorporating all phases of construction.
• Utilise planning software to create visual representations of project timelines, dependencies, and milestones.
• Monitor project progress against the established schedule, identifying deviations and potential delays.
• Collaborate with site teams to gather information and update schedules accordingly.
• Analyse project risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate potential impacts on the schedule.
• Prepare regular progress reports for project managers and senior management.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Construction Planner or Scheduler.
• Proficiency in project planning software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or Asta Powerproject.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and site operations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with various teams.
