About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and proactive Construction Planner to join their team in Wolverhampton . This role is integral to the successful delivery of complex construction projects, focusing on developing and maintaining accurate project schedules, resource allocation, and sequencing of works. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure efficient project execution and timely completion. Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed project schedules using planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
- Create and maintain baseline schedules, track progress, and update the plan regularly.
- Identify critical path activities and potential delays, proposing mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate with all project stakeholders to ensure timely input and accurate progress reporting.
- Assist in the development of site logistics plans and resource allocation strategies.
- Prepare reports and presentations on project progress, risks, and opportunities.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Construction Planner or Scheduler on medium to large-scale projects.
- Proficiency in industry-standard planning software such as Primavera P6 or Asta Powerproject.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, sequences, and lead times.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
