About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Construction Planner to support their projects across the Reading area. You will be responsible for developing, managing, and updating project schedules, ensuring efficient resource allocation and timely project delivery. This role utilizes a hybrid working model , allowing for remote planning and analysis combined with necessary site visits to gather information and assess progress. Your ability to create logical, achievable construction programmes and to communicate them effectively will be key to project success. Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed construction programmes and schedules for various project phases.
- Utilize planning software to create baseline schedules, track progress, and identify critical path activities.
- Collaborate with project managers, site teams, and subcontractors to gather input and ensure realistic timelines.
- Identify potential risks and opportunities within the schedule and develop mitigation strategies.
- Monitor site progress and update schedules accordingly, reporting on variances and forecasts.
- Assist in resource planning and allocation to support programme requirements.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Construction Planner or Scheduler.
- Proficiency in planning software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or Asta Powerproject.
- Strong understanding of construction processes and methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, managing both remote and on-site responsibilities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
