About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Construction Planner to join their team supporting projects in Sheffield . You will be responsible for developing, managing, and monitoring construction programmes, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. This role involves close collaboration with project managers, site teams, and stakeholders to create realistic and achievable construction schedules. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of construction processes and excellent proficiency in planning software, contributing to efficient project delivery from start to finish in the Sheffield region.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed construction programmes, from initial tender stage through to project completion.
- Create baseline schedules and monitor progress, identifying variances and potential delays.
- Work collaboratively with project teams to develop recovery plans when required.
- Produce programme updates, reports, and graphical representations for management and clients.
- Analyse project risks and develop contingency plans within the programme.
- Ensure all planning activities comply with project objectives and contractual requirements.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Construction Planner or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in planning software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or Asta PowerProject.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and site operations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate complex programme information clearly to various stakeholders.
- Relevant qualification in construction, engineering, or project management is desirable.
