Construction Planner

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and experienced Construction Planner to join their team, operating with a hybrid work model based out of Norwich . You will be responsible for developing, managing, and updating comprehensive project schedules for various construction projects. This role requires a keen eye for detail, an understanding of construction sequencing, and proficiency in planning software. You will work closely with project managers and site teams to ensure realistic and achievable timelines are established and maintained, contributing to the efficient delivery of projects across Norfolk.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed construction programs and master schedules using P6 or Asta Powerproject software.
• Collaborate with project teams to define project scope, identify critical path activities, and set realistic timelines.
• Monitor project progress against the plan, identifying potential delays and developing recovery strategies.
• Produce regular progress reports, including graphical representations of progress and look-ahead schedules.
• Ensure that all plans are compliant with contract requirements and project objectives.
• Facilitate planning workshops and meetings with stakeholders to align on project schedules.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Construction Planner or Senior Scheduler on building or civil engineering projects.
• Proficiency in planning software such as Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject, or Microsoft Project.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and site operations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
