About the Role
Our client is looking for a detail-oriented Construction Planner to support project delivery in Derby . This hybrid role involves developing and managing construction schedules, coordinating resources, and ensuring that projects adhere to timelines. You will work closely with project managers and site teams to create realistic and achievable plans, identify potential risks, and propose mitigation strategies. Your expertise will be crucial in optimizing project workflows and ensuring efficient project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and update comprehensive construction project schedules.
- Collaborate with project managers and site teams to define project scope, activities, and durations.
- Identify critical path activities and potential project risks, recommending proactive solutions.
- Monitor project progress against the schedule and report on deviations.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of resources.
- Facilitate planning meetings and provide clear communication on schedule-related matters.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction planning and scheduling.
- Proficiency with project scheduling software such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6.
- Strong understanding of construction processes and sequencing.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
