Construction Planner

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and proactive Construction Planner to join their team in Bradford . This role is critical for ensuring the efficient and timely execution of construction projects by developing, monitoring, and updating comprehensive project schedules. You will work closely with project managers, site teams, and subcontractors to create realistic timelines, identify potential delays, and propose solutions to keep projects on track. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail, with a solid understanding of construction sequencing and resource management.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
• Collaborate with project teams to gather information and define project milestones and dependencies.
• Analyse project progress against the plan, identify deviations, and forecast completion dates.
• Prepare narrative reports on project progress, highlighting critical path activities and potential risks.
• Develop look-ahead schedules and resource histograms to support site operations.
• Support the tendering process by providing accurate programme information for bids.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Construction Planner or Scheduler.
• Proficiency in industry-standard planning software, such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
• Good understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and site operations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with diverse teams.
