About the Role
Our client requires a skilled and proactive Construction Planner to join their team, supporting projects across the Nottingham area. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and implementing detailed construction project schedules. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that projects are delivered on time by identifying potential risks, optimizing resource allocation, and coordinating with various project stakeholders. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules using planning software, incorporating all project activities and milestones.
- Collaborate with project managers, site teams, and subcontractors to gather information for schedule development and updates.
- Identify potential scheduling conflicts, risks, and opportunities, providing proactive solutions.
- Monitor project progress against the baseline schedule and report on deviations and their impact.
- Assist in the preparation of tender planning and support the bid process when required.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders regarding project timelines and potential impacts.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Construction Planner or Scheduler in the building or civil engineering sector.
- Proficiency in planning software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or Asta PowerProject.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies and project lifecycles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with project teams.
