Construction Planner

About the Role

Our client requires a meticulous Construction Planner to join their team in Edinburgh . You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring detailed construction programmes for a variety of projects. Your expertise will ensure that projects are planned efficiently, resources are allocated effectively, and timelines are met. This role is integral to the successful execution of construction works, providing critical support to project management teams and contributing to the strategic delivery of construction initiatives across Scotland.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project schedules using planning software.
• Create detailed construction plans, including phasing, logistics, and resource allocation.
• Monitor project progress against the plan and identify potential delays.
• Collaborate with project managers, site teams, and stakeholders to update schedules.
• Prepare reports on project status, milestones, and potential risks.
• Analyse project data to identify opportunities for schedule improvement.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Construction Planner or similar role.
• Proficiency in project planning software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
• Strong understanding of construction processes and sequencing.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder management abilities.
