About the Role
Our client, a major contractor in the construction sector , is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Construction Planner to join their team, supporting projects primarily in the Nottingham region. This role is integral to the successful execution of construction projects, focusing on developing, managing, and monitoring detailed project schedules and programmes. You will work collaboratively with project managers, site teams, and stakeholders to ensure efficient resource allocation and timely project completion. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed construction programmes using planning software.
- Coordinate with project teams to establish project milestones, timelines, and dependencies.
- Monitor progress against the plan, identify deviations, and propose corrective actions.
- Prepare progress reports, look-ahead schedules, and resource forecasts.
- Conduct site visits to assess progress and discuss planning requirements.
- Contribute to tender planning and bid preparation where required.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Construction Planner or Scheduler in the construction industry .
- Proficiency in planning software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or Asta Powerproject.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, methodologies, and project lifecycles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various teams.
