Construction Planner

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Construction Planner to join their innovative, fully remote construction team. You will be responsible for developing, managing, and updating comprehensive project schedules and programmes for a range of construction projects. This role is crucial for ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and on time, requiring strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of construction sequencing and logic. Working remotely, you will collaborate closely with project managers, site teams, and stakeholders to create realistic and achievable plans, driving project success through meticulous planning and effective communication.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed construction project schedules using planning software.
• Identify critical path activities, potential delays, and resource constraints.
• Liaise with project teams to gather information for schedule updates and progress reporting.
• Prepare and present regular progress reports, highlighting key milestones and potential issues.
• Develop resource allocation plans and logistics strategies to support project timelines.
• Conduct 'what-if' scenario analysis to assess the impact of changes on the project schedule.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Construction Planner or in a similar scheduling role.
• Proficiency in project planning software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or Asta Powerproject.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and site operations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
