About the Role
Our client is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Construction Planner to join their team, supporting projects in and around Wolverhampton . This role is crucial for developing, implementing, and maintaining project schedules, ensuring that all construction activities are coordinated efficiently and effectively. You will work closely with project managers, site teams, and stakeholders to create realistic and achievable timelines, identify potential risks, and develop mitigation strategies. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled planner to contribute to the successful delivery of diverse construction projects within the West Midlands, working within a dynamic environment that values precision and foresight.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
- Analyze project scope, identify critical path activities, and forecast resource requirements.
- Monitor project progress against the baseline schedule, identifying delays and recommending corrective actions.
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate construction sequencing, logistical plans, and programme updates.
- Prepare progress reports, including narrative explanations and graphical representations of schedule performance for stakeholders in Wolverhampton .
- Conduct site visits to assess progress and understand site constraints.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction planning or programming.
- Proficiency with industry-standard planning software.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and methodologies.
