About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Construction Project Engineer to join their team in Coventry . This role is critical in supporting project managers in the successful planning and execution of diverse construction projects. You will be involved in all phases of a project, from initial design and procurement through to site execution and close-out, ensuring technical requirements are met and operational efficiency is maintained. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical acumen, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to safety and quality on site. You'll work closely with site teams, subcontractors, and clients, contributing to the timely and budget-conscious completion of projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Project Managers in developing detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Review architectural and engineering drawings to ensure compliance with specifications and identify potential issues.
- Manage and track project documentation, including RFI's, submittals, and change orders.
- Liaise with site supervisors and subcontractors to resolve technical queries and ensure smooth workflow.
- Monitor site progress, safety compliance, and quality control, reporting findings regularly.
- Contribute to project close-out activities, including punch lists and handover documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering , Construction Management, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in a construction project engineering role.
- Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and relevant regulations.
- Proficiency in project management software and AutoCAD or similar drafting tools.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
