Construction Project Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Construction Project Manager to lead a portfolio of diverse projects based in and around Coventry . You will be responsible for the full project lifecycle, from initial planning and budgeting through to execution, monitoring, and final handover. This role demands a strategic thinker with exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and internal teams. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to deliver complex construction projects on time, within budget, and to specification, while upholding the company's commitment to safety and quality in all operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for construction initiatives in Coventry .
• Oversee project execution, ensuring all work is carried out according to plans, specifications, and relevant building codes.
• Conduct regular site visits and progress meetings to monitor project performance, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Manage contract administration, including tendering processes, contractor selection, and performance management.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations on construction sites.
• Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders, providing regular project updates and managing expectations.

Requirements

• Significant experience in project management within the construction industry, with a strong understanding of construction processes and site operations.
• Demonstrated success in managing projects from inception to completion, with a portfolio showcasing complex developments.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and standard construction documentation.
• A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent demonstrable experience.
• Knowledge of contractual frameworks and procurement strategies commonly used in the UK construction sector.
