Our client is seeking a seasoned Construction Project Manager to oversee significant building projects in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear, UK . This role requires a proactive leader with a strong background in managing all phases of construction projects, from pre-construction planning through to completion. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is a critical position for driving operational excellence and managing complex site operations in a key growth area for the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, budget, schedule, and resource allocation for construction projects.
- Oversee all on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
- Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel, fostering a coordinated and productive work environment.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential delays or issues, and implement effective solutions.
- Ensure strict adherence to quality control standards and conduct regular site inspections.
- Prepare and present regular progress reports to stakeholders and senior management.
Requirements
- Significant experience as a Construction Project Manager with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, building methods, and materials.
- Strong understanding of relevant regulations, safety standards, and contract management.
