Construction Project Manager

About the Role

Our client seeks a dynamic and results-oriented Construction Project Manager to lead exciting new commercial and residential projects in Newcastle upon Tyne . You will be responsible for the overall planning, coordination, and control of construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strong leadership, and exceptional organizational skills to navigate the complexities of the construction lifecycle in the Tyne and Wear region.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of construction projects, including planning, design, procurement, and execution.
• Develop detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules, and monitor progress against these metrics.
• Manage relationships with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant building regulations, health and safety standards, and contractual obligations.
• Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety.
• Resolve any project-related issues, conflicts, or disputes in a timely and effective manner.

Requirements

• Significant experience as a Construction Project Manager or in a senior project delivery role.
• Demonstrable track record of successfully managing construction projects from start to finish.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and regulatory requirements in the UK.
• Excellent contract negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
