About the Role
Our client requires a seasoned Construction Project Manager to oversee significant building projects in the Sunderland area. You will be responsible for all aspects of project execution, from initial planning and procurement through to construction and final handover. This is a critical role that demands strong leadership, excellent risk management capabilities, and a deep understanding of construction processes and regulations. You will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, acting as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and site teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of construction projects, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications.
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost control and financial accountability.
- Oversee site operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Procure and manage contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings with all relevant parties.
- Resolve on-site issues and challenges promptly and effectively.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager .
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Experience in managing budgets, schedules, and project teams on large-scale projects.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
- Relevant degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in construction project management software .
