Construction Project Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee significant building and infrastructure projects in the Sunderland, Tyne and Wear, UK area. This role is crucial for ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the construction lifecycle, from site acquisition and design through to completion and handover. Key Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of construction projects, ensuring adherence to budgets, timelines, and quality specifications.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
• Oversee site operations, coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel effectively.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations on construction sites.
• Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings to monitor project status and address any issues.
• Manage client and stakeholder relationships, providing regular updates and ensuring satisfaction.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Construction Project Management or a related field.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, procure materials, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, regulations, and building codes in the UK.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in construction management software and standard office applications.
• Relevant degree or HND in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
