About the Role
Our client is actively recruiting for an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead significant projects based in and around Cardiff . You will be responsible for the overall planning, management, and execution of construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a strong leader with excellent organizational skills and a deep understanding of the construction lifecycle, from pre-construction planning through to project closeout. Joining a respected construction company, you will play a key role in shaping developments across South Wales .
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of project planning, budgeting, and scheduling for multiple construction initiatives.
- Manage project teams, including site staff, subcontractors, and consultants, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and health and safety legislation .
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
- Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and local authorities to ensure clear communication and satisfaction.
- Manage contract administration, including variations, claims, and dispute resolution.
Requirements
- Significant experience in construction project management , with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
- Hold relevant professional qualifications (e.g., CIOB, APM) or possess equivalent practical experience.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts and project management methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and familiar with standard construction practices.
