About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee significant building projects in and around Portsmouth . This role requires hands-on management of all phases of construction projects, from initial planning and design through to completion and handover. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is a critical position for someone who thrives in a site-based environment and possesses strong leadership and technical expertise in the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of construction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Oversee on-site operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues or delays, and implement corrective actions.
- Review and approve project-related documentation, including contracts, permits, and change orders.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction project management.
- Proven experience managing residential, commercial, or industrial construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in construction project management software.
- Relevant degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
