About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly organized and experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee various projects in and around Newcastle upon Tyne . This role offers a hybrid working model, blending office-based tasks with on-site project management. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering construction projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This includes managing resources, subcontractors, and stakeholders, while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of the construction lifecycle, from inception to completion, contributing significantly to the company's project delivery success.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets from initiation to closure.
- Coordinate and supervise on-site construction activities and manage subcontractor performance.
- Ensure compliance with all building codes, safety regulations, and project specifications.
- Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and satisfaction.
- Manage project risks, identify potential issues, and implement effective solutions.
- Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings to monitor project status.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and safety standards.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Relevant degree or professional qualification in Construction Management or a related discipline.
