Construction Project Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Construction Project Manager to lead significant building projects in Glasgow . You will be responsible for the overall planning, coordination, and control of construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires exceptional leadership, organizational skills, and a deep understanding of the construction lifecycle, contributing to a firm recognized for its excellence in delivering complex and impactful construction developments throughout Scotland.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the construction project lifecycle, from planning and design to execution and handover.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
• Oversee and coordinate site operations, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient progress.
• Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations and quality standards on site.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to manage expectations and ensure clear communication.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, resolving any issues that may arise during construction.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry, managing projects of significant scale and value.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, building regulations , and contract management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asta PowerProject).
• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• SMSTS or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
