Construction Project Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a results-oriented Construction Project Manager to oversee major building projects in Edinburgh . This role is essential for ensuring that all construction projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will manage all aspects of the construction process, from initial planning and design coordination through to site management and project closeout. This is a site-based role, requiring your consistent presence on project locations and in our Edinburgh headquarters, working closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage detailed construction project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Oversee all on-site activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel.
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks.
• Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and local authorities to ensure project alignment.
• Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction phase promptly.

Requirements

• Significant experience (8+ years) as a Construction Project Manager or similar role.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale construction projects.
• In-depth knowledge of construction processes, building materials, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent understanding of construction contracts and documentation.
• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is essential.
