Construction Project Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee significant building projects in and around Sunderland . You will be responsible for managing all aspects of construction projects, from initial planning and budgeting through to execution, quality control, and site supervision, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This role requires a hands-on approach to site management and a keen eye for detail, working closely with site teams, contractors, and clients. You will be a key player in delivering high-quality construction outcomes within the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of construction projects, ensuring adherence to design specifications and building codes.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, including critical path analysis and resource allocation.
• Oversee site operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Manage subcontractor performance, contract administration, and quality assurance processes.
• Control project costs, monitor expenditures, and prepare regular financial reports and forecasts.
• Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and local authorities to ensure project success and client satisfaction.

Requirements

• Significant experience as a Construction Project Manager , with a proven track record of delivering large-scale construction projects.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and building regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in construction project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
• Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., CIOB, RICS) are highly desirable for this role in Sunderland .
