About the Role
Our client is looking for a seasoned Construction Project Manager to lead significant projects within the Sunderland area. This role demands exceptional organizational and leadership skills to ensure the successful execution of construction projects from inception to completion. You will be responsible for managing budgets, timelines, resources, and project teams to deliver high-quality results that meet client expectations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the construction lifecycle, risk management, and stakeholder communication, contributing to the successful development and expansion of infrastructure and commercial properties in Tyne and Wear.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, including scope, resources, and timelines.
- Coordinate and manage all site activities, including direct labour and subcontractors.
- Implement and maintain robust health and safety procedures on all project sites.
- Manage project finances, including budget control, cost reporting, and invoice approvals.
- Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to provide project updates and address concerns.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager with a track record of successful project delivery.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Ability to manage risk and resolve complex project issues.
- Relevant degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
