Construction Site Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and technically proficient Construction Site Engineer to support key projects in Glasgow . You will play a vital role in ensuring the accurate setting out of the works, quality control, and adherence to engineering specifications on site. This position demands a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of engineering principles, and the ability to work effectively within a project team. You will be instrumental in bridging the gap between design and construction, ensuring technical integrity and quality outcomes for projects in Scotland.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately set out the works on site using surveying equipment and approved drawings.
• Conduct quality checks and inspections to ensure construction meets design specifications and standards.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Monitor and report on construction progress, identifying any deviations from the plan.
• Assist in the management of site logistics, temporary works, and materials control.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on site.

Requirements

• Degree or HND in Civil Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline.
• Experience as a Site Engineer or Junior Engineer in the construction industry.
• Proficiency in using surveying equipment (e.g., Total Station, GPS) and associated software.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and construction methods.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Good communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive attitude to problem-solving.
