About the Role
Our client is seeking a qualified and experienced Construction Site Engineer to join their dynamic team in Cambridge . This role is essential for overseeing the technical aspects of construction projects on-site, ensuring that work is executed according to design specifications and engineering standards. You will be responsible for setting out, managing technical queries, and ensuring the quality of workmanship. The successful candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a challenging site environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Set out sites and undertake surveys as required using appropriate equipment.
- Ensure that all engineering and construction activities on site are executed to the correct specifications and quality standards.
- Manage technical queries from site teams and subcontractors, providing timely and accurate solutions.
- Monitor site progress and ensure that work is being carried out according to the project schedule.
- Maintain site records, including daily reports, quality control checks, and progress photographs.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on site.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience as a Site Engineer or in a similar technical site role.
- Proficiency in using surveying equipment and CAD software.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret technical drawings.
- Awareness of health and safety requirements on construction sites in Cambridge .
