Construction Site Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Site Engineer to join their team in Liverpool . You will be instrumental in ensuring the technical accuracy and quality of construction work on site, working closely with the site manager and other project staff. This role involves a significant amount of hands-on work on the construction site, applying engineering principles to solve practical problems and ensure that the project is built according to design specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Set out sites and supervise the use of relevant equipment.
• Ensure that drawings and specifications are correctly interpreted and implemented.
• Manage quality control processes on site, conducting inspections and testing.
• Oversee and manage direct labour and subcontractors, ensuring work is carried out safely and efficiently.
• Monitor site progress and report any deviations from the plan to the site manager.
• Resolve any technical queries or challenges that arise during construction.

Requirements

• Degree or HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience as a Site Engineer or in a similar site-based role.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of surveying techniques and equipment.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations on construction sites.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
