About the Role
Our client is seeking a qualified and motivated Construction Site Engineer to join their team on projects based in and around Cambridge . This role is essential for providing technical and engineering support on-site, ensuring that construction activities are executed according to design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. You will be responsible for setting out, measuring, and controlling the work, as well as liaising with site management and subcontractors. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of engineering principles and a practical approach to problem-solving in a dynamic construction environment in Cambridgeshire .
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate setting out of the works on site as per drawings and specifications.
- Conduct quality control checks and ensure all construction work meets required standards.
- Monitor progress of construction activities and report any deviations from the plan.
- Supervise and manage subcontractors, ensuring they adhere to safety and quality requirements.
- Maintain site records, including daily reports, progress measurements, and material checks.
- Liaise with the design team and project managers to resolve any technical queries or issues that arise on site.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience as a Site Engineer or similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, surveying techniques, and construction methods.
- Proficiency in using surveying equipment and relevant engineering software.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
