Construction Site Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly capable and experienced Construction Site Manager to lead and manage construction projects in and around Bristol . You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the site, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This demanding role requires strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, and a deep understanding of all aspects of the construction process. As a key figure on site, you will be instrumental in driving project success for our client's diverse portfolio in the South West England region.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all site operations, ensuring work is executed according to plans, specifications, and schedules.
• Implement and enforce stringent health and safety policies and procedures on site.
• Manage site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring efficient coordination and resource allocation.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement timely solutions to keep the project on track.
• Ensure quality control and adherence to building standards and regulations.
• Maintain accurate site records, including daily reports, progress updates, and incident logs.
• Liaise effectively with clients, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Manager or Senior Site Supervisor on comparable construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and health and safety legislation .
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret complex construction drawings and specifications.
• Relevant construction management qualifications (e.g., SMSTS, CSCS) are essential.
