Construction Site Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Construction Site Manager to oversee operations for a key development project in Edinburgh . This hands-on role requires a proactive individual who can manage all aspects of site activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for leading site teams, coordinating subcontractors, and maintaining effective communication with all stakeholders, playing an instrumental role in the successful delivery of significant construction projects across Scotland .

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all on-site construction activities, ensuring work progresses according to the project plan and schedule.
• Supervise and direct site personnel, subcontractors, and suppliers, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Implement and enforce stringent health and safety protocols, conducting regular site inspections and risk assessments.
• Monitor the quality of workmanship and materials, ensuring all work complies with specifications and building codes.
• Maintain accurate site records, including daily progress reports, resource logs, and safety documentation.
• Liaise effectively with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to resolve site issues and provide project updates.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Manager or similar role in the construction industry, with a strong understanding of building processes.
• Hold a valid SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification and First Aid qualification.
• In-depth knowledge of UK construction methods, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a demanding environment.
