About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Construction Site Manager to oversee a key project in Derby . This role demands strong leadership and organizational skills to ensure the successful execution of construction activities, from ground-breaking to project completion. You will be responsible for managing on-site operations, coordinating trades, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and maintaining the quality of workmanship. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in construction management and a commitment to delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and manage all on-site construction activities and personnel.
• Develop and implement detailed site safety plans and ensure strict adherence.
• Monitor project progress against the schedule and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure that all work is carried out to the highest quality standards and specifications.
• Manage the procurement and delivery of materials and equipment to the site.
• Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project operations.

Requirements

• Significant experience in a Site Management role within the construction industry.
• Thorough knowledge of construction methods, safety regulations, and project management principles.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Relevant construction qualification (e.g., HNC, HND, degree) is advantageous.
• Valid SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification.
• Proficiency in construction management software.
