Construction Site Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly organised and motivated Construction Site Manager to lead projects in the Plymouth area. This role is responsible for the day-to-day management of construction sites, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. You will be responsible for managing all site personnel, subcontractors, and resources effectively, acting as the primary point of contact on site. This is a challenging yet rewarding position for a proven leader in the construction field.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, and specifications.
• Manage and motivate site teams, including direct employees and subcontractors.
• Implement and enforce stringent health and safety policies and procedures on site.
• Control project costs by managing resources, materials, and labour effectively.
• Ensure quality control measures are in place and standards are consistently met.
• Maintain professional relationships with clients, consultants, and regulatory bodies.

Requirements

• Extensive experience as a Site Manager or in a similar senior construction management role.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and teams effectively.
• Relevant construction qualification (e.g., HND, degree) is an advantage.
