About the Role
Our client is seeking a diligent and experienced Construction Site Supervisor to oversee daily operations on a variety of construction sites in and around Edinburgh . You will be responsible for ensuring that work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a practical, hands-on approach, strong leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of construction processes and regulations. You will be a key point of contact on-site, driving productivity and maintaining a safe working environment for all personnel, contributing to the successful delivery of projects for our valued clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the work of site personnel, including subcontractors and direct labour.
- Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations and company policies on site at all times.
- Monitor construction progress against the project schedule, reporting any deviations or potential delays.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality of workmanship and materials used.
- Manage site logistics, including the delivery and storage of materials and equipment.
- Liaise with the Project Manager and other stakeholders to resolve site-specific issues promptly.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Supervisor or Foreman in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction techniques, building materials, and health and safety legislation .
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Relevant certifications such as SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) are essential.
