Construction Site Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and experienced Construction Site Supervisor to oversee operations at various sites, primarily in and around Edinburgh . You will be responsible for ensuring that construction activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards. This role requires a hands-on approach, with the ability to lead and motivate site teams, manage resources effectively, and maintain a safe working environment. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily site operations and coordinate the work of tradespeople and labourers.
• Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with building codes, health and safety regulations , and project specifications.
• Monitor construction progress, identifying and resolving any issues or deviations from the plan.
• Maintain site safety standards through regular inspections and toolbox talks.
• Manage site logistics, including material delivery and equipment placement.
• Keep accurate daily records of site activities, workforce, and any incidents.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience in a supervisory role on construction sites.
• Thorough knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety procedures.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage a team effectively.
• Good understanding of reading construction drawings and specifications.
• Relevant certifications or qualifications in construction supervision or a trade.
