Construction Site Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a practical and experienced Construction Site Supervisor to oversee operations at various project sites in and around Edinburgh . You will work closely with the Site Manager to ensure that construction activities are carried out efficiently, safely, and to the required quality standards. This role involves supervising tradespeople, monitoring progress, and ensuring adherence to project plans and health and safety protocols. The hybrid aspect of this role allows for effective coordination between site activities and essential administrative duties, ensuring seamless project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise on-site construction activities and tradespeople.
• Ensure work is completed according to project specifications, drawings, and schedules.
• Monitor site conditions, reporting any issues or deviations to the Site Manager.
• Implement and enforce health and safety procedures on site, conducting toolbox talks.
• Manage the delivery and storage of materials and equipment.
• Maintain daily site logs and assist in progress reporting.

Requirements

• Significant experience in a supervisory or leading hand role within the construction industry.
• Good knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations on construction sites.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Valid CSCS card is essential.
