Construction Site Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and proactive Construction Site Supervisor to join their team, overseeing operations on various building projects in and around Bradford . You will be responsible for ensuring that work on site is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards. This hands-on role requires a practical understanding of construction processes and the ability to effectively manage trades and direct labour. You will act as the eyes and ears of the site management team, ensuring smooth daily operations and immediate resolution of minor issues, contributing directly to the successful completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily site activities, ensuring work proceeds according to the project schedule and quality specifications.
• Monitor and enforce health and safety regulations on site, reporting any hazards or non-compliance immediately.
• Coordinate the work of different trades and subcontractors, ensuring effective team collaboration.
• Check the quality of workmanship and materials used, ensuring they meet project standards.
• Maintain site records, including daily reports, attendance, and materials usage.
• Communicate effectively with the Site Manager, providing updates on progress and any emerging issues in Bradford .

Requirements

• Proven experience in a supervisory role within the construction industry.
• Good understanding of construction techniques, methods, and health and safety procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate site personnel.
• Possession of relevant certifications such as a CSCS card is essential.
• A practical, hands-on approach to problem-solving on site.
