Construction Site Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Construction Site Supervisor to oversee daily operations on their projects in Nottingham . You will be responsible for directing and supervising on-site activities, ensuring that work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards. This hands-on role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage tradespeople and subcontractors effectively. Your role is crucial in maintaining site productivity, upholding health and safety standards, and ensuring projects progress according to schedule and budget, contributing to the successful completion of developments in the Nottinghamshire area.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct the daily activities of site personnel and subcontractors.
• Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with project plans, specifications, and health and safety regulations.
• Monitor work quality and progress, identifying and addressing any issues or delays promptly.
• Maintain a safe working environment on site, conducting regular safety inspections.
• Manage site resources, including materials and equipment, to ensure efficient use.
• Communicate effectively with the Site Manager, project team, and trades to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Supervisor or Foreman in the construction industry.
• Good understanding of construction methods, building regulations , and health and safety practices.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to manage and motivate a site team.
• Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to site management.
• Relevant trade qualification or a certificate in site supervision is an advantage.
