Construction Site Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent Construction Site Supervisor to support their ongoing projects in Edinburgh . You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations on construction sites, ensuring work is carried out efficiently, safely, and to the required quality standards. This role acts as a key link between management and the site workforce, ensuring smooth coordination and adherence to project plans, while contributing to the successful delivery of construction developments in Scotland's capital.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily site activities and coordinate the work of tradespeople and labourers.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety policies and procedures on site at all times.
• Monitor work quality and progress against project schedules and specifications.
• Maintain site records, including daily reports and material inventories.
• Assist the Site Manager with logistics, problem-solving, and communication with subcontractors.
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings for site personnel.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a supervisory or leading hand role within the construction industry.
• Good understanding of construction processes and best practices.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to construction sites.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Relevant vocational qualifications or certifications are an advantage.
