Construction Site Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a vigilant and hands-on Construction Site Supervisor to oversee daily operations on a key development in Bristol . This role is critical in ensuring that all work on-site is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You will be the direct point of contact for tradespeople, manage site logistics, and ensure adherence to project schedules and specifications. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a practical understanding of construction processes, working closely with the Site Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of site personnel and subcontractors, ensuring work is completed as per plans and specifications.
• Monitor and enforce health and safety regulations on site, conducting toolbox talks and safety inspections.
• Manage site logistics, including material delivery and storage, plant, and equipment.
• Maintain daily site records, including progress reports, attendance, and incident logs.
• Assist the Site Manager in planning work activities and sequencing trades.
• Ensure the quality of workmanship meets project standards and specifications.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a supervisory role on construction sites.
• Good understanding of construction processes, materials, and methods.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations (CSCS card required, SSSTS or similar is a plus).
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage and motivate a diverse workforce.
• Basic IT literacy for reporting purposes.
