Construction Site Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated and hands-on Construction Site Supervisor to join their team on a vital project in Glasgow . This role focuses on the day-to-day oversight of site operations, ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the required specifications. You will work closely with the Site Manager, coordinating trades, monitoring progress, and ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a practical background in construction looking to step into a supervisory role and contribute to the successful delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate on-site activities of trades, subcontractors, and labourers.
• Ensure that all construction activities are carried out in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Monitor work quality and progress against project schedules, reporting any deviations or issues to the Site Manager.
• Conduct daily site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Assist in the management of site resources, including materials and equipment.
• Maintain clear communication channels between the site team, management, and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a construction trade or supervisory role on construction sites.
• Solid understanding of construction processes, safety procedures, and quality standards.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• A relevant CSCS card or equivalent certification is essential.
