Construction Site Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a vigilant and experienced Construction Site Supervisor for projects in Edinburgh . This hands-on role requires overseeing daily site activities, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards. You will be responsible for supervising trades, managing site logistics, and maintaining a safe working environment. This is a critical role for someone who excels at on-the-ground execution and is dedicated to maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety, contributing to the successful completion of diverse construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations on the construction site, directing trades and labour.
• Ensure all work complies with project plans, specifications, and building regulations.
• Enforce strict adherence to health and safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct daily toolbox talks and safety briefings for site personnel.
• Manage the delivery and storage of construction materials and equipment.
• Inspect work in progress to ensure quality and identify any defects or issues.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Supervisor , Foreman, or similar role in construction.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, trades, and site management.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation relevant to construction sites.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., SSSTS or SMSTS) are advantageous.
